Remember when I posted stuff? Yeah. Me too. But I’m taking an actual music class next term so maybe I’ll be able to sing more without the constant fear that my roommate will come back!
*Note: I’m pretty sure I’ve posted the beginning before, but I haven’t done it in a while. The only reason I remember all the parts is because I had the sheet music for a couple days and studied the hell out of the beginning. But I only know the soprano part following that so—
A couple things first
- these are taken from a couple sources; the production videos, a couple behind-the-scenes stuff on the ee, this website, and this website
- there aren’t any spoilers, as far as i can tell.
- i don’t have a pop filter/windscreen for my microphone, so just pretend those don’t exist
- i’m getting over a wicked nasty cold at the moment, so this was done while frantically trying not to help (although it made my voice more raspy!!)
Personally, I think Dwarf women would have some deep voices in their population — really strong sort of tones that occasionally rival their male counterparts.
I think if Dis had been cast, I would have liked to see her with a really commanding voice, going off the Durin bloodline of deep and raspy assholes who sound gorgeous.
I don’t really come close to that, but I wanted something in my head other than William Kircher for lady-dwarf headcanons (sorry, man).
*man i got like a c- in year two of french so my foreign language skills aren’t exactly up to par
so whenever i get really sick/get a really bad sore throat i suddenly become richard armitage with tits
so i heard that new id song today
“Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie
One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.”
long time no see; this one crept up on me and didn’t really turn out as slow as i imagined.
Police are urging citizens to use the "Box Tunnel Twenty" hotline to report any information they may have.
This is me messing around with Audacity more than anything and trying to find some neat radio/static effects. Whoops.
It’s not really as clear as I originally planned, but I was trying to give it more of that “we’re not really a national news station” vibe. If there’s any bits you can’t make out (although some are deliberately cut out), let me know.
